Local accountant goes from 100 to 700+ monthly visits
Coffey & Co is an Irish accounting firm serving both local and national clients. They arrived with roughly 100 visitors a month and a website that was working against them.
We fixed the technical foundations, rebuilt the content and earned links over twelve months. Organic traffic grew sixfold, the firm reached #1 in its local market, Limerick, and it now competes for national terms.
Client Background
Coffey & Co is an Irish accounting firm that works with both local businesses and clients across the country. They came to us with a website that was doing very little for them — roughly 100 visitors a month and a digital presence that did not reflect the quality of the practice.
The existing site had a handful of blog posts and a few service pages, but the content was sparse and unpolished. The goal was to build the digital foundations a modern accountancy firm needs, then use them to compete locally first and, after that, nationally.
Challenge Faced
Coffey & Co had minimal online visibility and an ineffective digital presence. Boilerplate text had created duplicate content; several pages were not indexed by Google at all; and there were no inbound links or schema markup to help search engines and AI platforms understand the site.
Underneath that lay the deeper problem: no evergreen content, no internal linking, and no coherent content strategy tying it all together. In a competitive local market, the firm needed both technical credibility and a clear editorial direction before it could rank for the terms that drive enquiries.
Where We Started
We began with a technical and content audit to see what was worth keeping and to surface every issue blocking growth.
The list was long:
- Around 100 visitors a month
- Minimal evergreen content
- Duplicate content from boilerplate text
- Pages not indexed by Google
- No inbound links and no schema markup
- Thin, generic content with no internal linking
- No coherent content strategy
Clearing the technical problems came first, so Google could properly crawl and index the pages that mattered.
Implementation Process
We worked to a phased, systematic plan rather than trying to do everything at once. As with every project, we front-loaded the work that drives organic visits and left the slower, essential tasks for later phases.
Technical Foundation (Months 1–2)
We set up proper tracking and SEO tooling with Rank Math Pro, fixed redirection and broken-link monitoring, and resolved more than 100 indexing problems.
Content Strategy (Months 3–4)
Using an AI-assisted research-and-drafting process with human editing on top, we rewrote the pages that drive enquiries — sole trader versus limited company guidance, cloud accounting explainers, small-business service pages and VAT guidance.
Content Expansion (Months 5–8)
We moved to systematic monthly content production, strategic internal linking and consistent link building, steadily widening the range of terms the site could rank for.
Technical Optimisation and Scale (Months 9–12)
The final phase focused on site-speed improvements, schema markup and establishing a content operation the firm could sustain on its own.
Results: from ~100 to 700+ monthly visits
The combined effect of fixing the foundations and publishing with intent was a sixfold increase in organic traffic inside twelve months — and a firm that now ranks first in its local market while competing for national terms.
- Traffic: from around 100 monthly visitors to more than 700, a 600% increase in 12 months.
- Local rankings: #1 in their local city, now competing nationally.
- Technical health: over 100 indexing, redirect and broken-link issues resolved.
- Content: dozens of optimised, well-structured pages replacing thin, generic copy.
“I would really recommend working with BeFound SEO. I am seeing very good results and consistent progress.”

Why This Case Matters
This transformation shows that any accountant can compete on a local and national scale through proper digital foundations and strategic marketing.
For small professional services firms, the lesson is that an AI-assisted, human-edited SEO approach can deliver enterprise-level results on a modest budget, and that systematic, phased improvements make growth sustainable rather than a short-lived spike.
